Comments

That corn is stalking him!

Hahahahahahahahahaha!

When are you going to have him visiting Elian?

That corn is stalking him!

That's Dick Cheney in the corn, silly.

Too funny.

I actually live in Indiana in Pence's district. I did NOT vote for him; I contributed to his opponent; and next year I plan to volunteer for his opponent's campaign. I live near the west side of Anderson which is one of the two biggish towns in his district.

While I tend not to go shopping after dark, if I did I would not need to wear a flak jacket or require an escort of helicopters and 100 soldiers. And definitely not during the day.

I love how he insinuates that my area of Indiana is comparable to a war zone. He's a putz!

Stop making me spit out my coffee. I must admit a preference for John McCain visits Portland, Maine. How 'bout John McCain visits Market Street, San Francisco (in drag?)

OMG, that is so effin funny. You have GOT to make it a recurring feature. Oh, the places John McCain could go!

HAHAHA! Beautiful!

A helicopter or two hovering above would make it complete!

Lindsay Graham didn't go along to buy something from the hoosier state?

Why has Merkin Patriot not made an ironic carpet reference to this?

I so envy people who can Photoshop® this well.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I am going to lose my job.
I LOL really loud just now.

(I'm now having to pretend to be on the phone.)

Made me roar with laughter! Good thing I'm alone.

Yeah, I vote for "reccuring feature", as he moves around the country..

Thank you, watertiger.

It is more than I hoped for.

Much more.

Off to Kinko's to get that on posterboard.

Our traveling gnome?

thankyouthankyouthankyou!

Ummm....2008 Republican Campaign Calendar?

YES! Please!

I vote yes for continuing feature, too. Sort of a barnstorming campaign around our country.

What can you do with West Virginia?

I love the series! When is McCain coming to Seattle?

Leslie, we need to figure out a way to form a company where we get paid to enjoy our fave blogs (namely DR!). Then we would be up for bonuses, raises AND promotions based on our enjoyment/participation! :)
Elspeth

Them hoosiers can be some mean mamma-jammas.

i see him at mt rushmore. but what outfit goes with SD? a wall drug t-shirt?

i am looking forward to the travels of the great white waldo.

Nah--I'd say more likely an MBNA logo t-shirt bearing the legend: 36% consumer credit interest and "Blue Sky" fees.

But McCain DOES bear a striking resemblance to Dukakis in overalls and a "gimme" hat. Can we get a shot of him up on a tractor?

Elspeth, I'm right there with ya!!
I'd be up for a promotion already.

Watertiger,

Another Great Photoshop job!!!

However, Fuck John McCain!!! Seriously Forget him. Stop wasting your time

His Presidential campaign is going nowhere. McCain's Presidential poll numbers are headed for the basement. This is no "passion" out there for that lying bastard except in Chris Matthew's and Tim Russert's loins If there is any karmic justice and if shameless lying does in fact cause cancer then Straightalk here will be a rotting corpse long before his term is up in 2010.

However, perhaps you could however convince your pal Atrios to select his idiot as Wanker of the Week.

Seriously the Wing-nut who really needs to get a good ass kicking over this April Fool's day "Baghdad Market Photo-op Fiasco" is Congressman Mike Pence

Indiana's Mike Pence or "Little Mikey" is a seriously looney Talibangelist wing-nut as out of touch with much of his 6th house district as "Little Ricky" Santorum was in Pennsylvannia... Yet Pence is still a rising GOP star who is very vulnerable if challanged. While McCain's political career is simply rapidly spiraling downward

End of Part I

Part II of III

Here was the Indianapolis Star Front Page for April 2nd
Pence likens Baghdad market to 1 in Indiana

Now here was the Indianapolis Star front page for April 4th two days later
Back from Iraq, Pence explains market remark
Congressman says he didn't mean to suggest Baghdad venue was as safe as one in Indiana

Seems "Little Mikey" here is backpeddling so fast here he threw a chain. Could it have anything to due with what was on page 3 of the April 4th edition of Indy Star?
2nd Hoosier today reported killed in Iraq

These two Hoosiers deaths in Iraq were announced the very day Pence's steaming load of Wankery appeared on the front page of the Indy Star. Sgt. Bradley King left behind a fifteen month year old son. Too bad the Indy Star did not have the balls to print the two articles side by side above the fold. Both of these Hoosier soldiers grew up just miles outside of Pence's 6th congression district in ultra-winger Mark Souder's 3rd district.

End of Part II of III

Part III of III

If the liberal blogosphere really wants to end the war in Iraq, then you have got to put the pressure on Purple state Wing-nut Congressmen like Mike Pence 6th district and Mark Souder 3rd district. Folks outside of Indiana think the state is hopelessly red yet these two far right wing-nuts represent districts that have been devastated by NAFTA and idiotic "Free Trade" policies. Run a "Fair Trade" progressive populist, instead of one of Rahm Emmanuel's DLC Dembots, against either of them and they are beatable. Much of Mike Pence's district use to be reprented by Democrat Phil Sharp years ago before redistricting. In 2006 progressive populist Barry Welsh came a lot closer than anybody would have thought in his run against Pence. In 2006 Democrats picked up 3 other house seats in Indiana. If Welsh runs again in 2008 then Pence could be beaten. This is if DLCer Rahm Emmanuel and the DCCC can be convinced to support Welsh this time around.

The Liberal blogosphere needs a project mapping the causalities of US soldiers in Iraq with their hometown congressional districts. Like this article points out a disproportionate majority of deaths in Iraq are among soldiers from small town or rural districts. If those are Midwestern or Western state "purple" districts than those House seats are vulnerable. Everytime a US soldier gets wounded a tally should be taken. Those districts where the Representative favors continuing the Iraq war against the desires of their own districts should be targeted with fundraising for an opposing Progressive Populist candidate.

Unfortunately, as much as Harry Reid wants to end the Iraq War, the US Senate vote controlled is by too many DLCers like Lieberman, Hillary and Biden. Even Obama is trying to triangulate on Iraq. The House is where the really pressure to end the war is going to come from. The Constitution intended for the House to be responsive to the will of the people. Put enough pressure on vulnerable Congressmen and even some Republicans are likely to break ranks with Bushco.

oh how i long for my indiana home

not really ... well, on occassion i do

but but but picking on mccain is fun! and the teevee gnews likes him.
