New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, STUPIDEST FUCKING MAN ON THE PLANET?
I'm of the belief that it takes a special kind of person to be a politician - the level of arrogance and chutzpah to build your entire career on crime-busting, and you wind up IN THE MIDDLE OF A FUCKING PROSTITUTION RING? WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?!?!
Remember, though - it was okay that David Vitter, U.S. Senator [R-Diaper], was involved in the same mishegas. It's okay if you're a Republican.

What would Rudy do?

Maybe he could claim he was born into a Rethuglican family
and he was just practicing good family values.
jeebus.h.crispies.
*shaking head in utter disbelief*

It's not 'what' he was thinking...it is 'what' he was thinking with.

Its hard being governor.

Thanks Eliot. I hope you caught an STD.

He should change his voter registration immediately and find Jesus.
Where is Jesus hiding these days, anyway?

If anyone would know how wiretaps and dirty tricks work,
it should be Spitzer. It's almost as if he wanted to be caught.

Great FSM, that's bad. What a prick. Can I say prick on the internets? How 'bout putz?
Of course, the rightwing blowhards, and probably a few on the left, are going to do an interesting bit of political math:
Spitzer= New York Democrat who fooled around and broke the law which reminds us of Bill Clinton, a Democrat who fooled around and lied about it and is married to a New York Democrat...yadda yadda yadda. (OK, I can't really get in their heads and anticipate the form the calculus will take...I just know that it's..uh...coming.)

Auntie Meme, Matthews is spouting that shit right now.

I hope that tookie was damn good!
Why the fuck can't Bush be caught doing something like this?
Posted by: queek | March 10, 2008 at 05:28 PM
Because Duhbew is into group sex - he likes fucking the whole country.
Posted by: shpx.ohfu | March 10, 2008 at 05:32 PM
Well served, queek! Nice volley, shpx.ohfu!

Why yes, he is!

I don't think Spitzer pushed all that "family values" crap, did he? That's when things like this really irk me. Otherwise I don't much care who or what politicians fuck.
Spitzer may get through it, though. Our Dem mayor here Detroit has been linked to several different women, including a top aide. He had a "come to Jesus" moment complete with tears. BTW, he spouts the family values, anti-gay stuff, too, just like a Rethug.

I think its weird that pols would rather patronize pros rather than just banging groupies. I guess they figure either fear of a bust or professional courtesy will protect them from disclosure. When you are enough of a repeat customer that "a few of the prostitutes" know they are sexing up the Gov, you got to know that cat is coming out of the bag. If you are going to risk chucking it all away just to get laid, seems like you should do it with someone who was into it and not just getting paid.

Please forgive me if I fail to understand why we should show "compassion" to Elliot Spitzer?!? He had sex with prostitutes; he needs compassion from us for that? No comprendo....we are living in one weird world.

What is it with politicians and illicit sex? I guess rampant ego stroking is just another gateway drug...
His poor wife - what a shithead. And to think I actually admired Spitzer. [/shudder]

warrantless wiretap? .... just asking.....

I'm not that upset. Thing is, I voted for Spitzer with some trepidation. He's so ambitious, he makes HIllary look like a slacker, and, to be frank, that worried me. His attempt to take down Bruno was clumsy. Bruno's dirty, but he covers his tracks. Spitzer went into the gov's mansion and tried to bully the entire legislature. And he seemed a bit out of control, seemed to like the idea of being the guy with the big stick. Sadly, some of his ideas were pretty good and progressive, but his personality was all wrong.

Gray Davis
Don Siegelman
Eliot Spitzer
Three Democratic governors taken down by Dubya's team.
Unless you trust the DoJ in this instance.

Maybe, just maybe, his wife was glad someone else had to blow the meat trumpet thus she could protect her dental alignment? She might well have knee problems, ya know... And maybe as long as they could do the full-on hokey pokey, she may have been glad for a reprieve on the rest so that she could focus on her embroidery club...or something? Just maybe...
alls I'm sayin'...

Pay for play, and another winner's a loser.

Come on now, we have to deal with the reality here. This is the former Attorney General of NY caught engaging in solicitation for a prostitute, a man that has been advertized as a moralizing buster of prostitution "rings". This is not some moralizing weirdo preacher doing the opposite of what he preached, this is a man who was prosecuting, with ALL the POWER of the STATE, men who solicited for a prostitute, and putting them IN JAIL. How STUPID is that? HOW STUPID IS THIS MAN? We have entered an age of UTTER STUPIDITY, and you really have to ask what is going on?
Posted by: Mary M | March 10, 2008 at 10:45 PM
But McCain giving lap-carousel rides to a lobbyist is okai...? Foley soliciting borderline majority age interns and sneaking into their dorms afterhours is okai? Vitter paying someone to change his unnecessarily dirtied diaper while his wife wonders wtf's up w/all the late hours is okai??? Of course it is okai for them, THEY are republics!!! And we all know IOKIYAR, but let a Dem transgress and it's "Fire up the Ronco butane-powered stake and get the kindlin' - we're gonna roast a D!!!...(and pay NO attn to our EXTREMELY EGREGIOUS contradictions over there...)"
Teh hypocrisy - it burrrrnnnnnz!!!

Teddy San Fran, this blame it on the pub's framing us is utter poppycock.
Take the bad dem, like a man, MAKE HIM RESIGN, NOW, and put him behind bars.
Protect the party, protect our integrity. Bad dem's do bad things? BURY THEM!
No pity. None. Not at all. Progressives are above the blame game on this, when our OWN are guilty, and complicit.
No more cheap whine, Teddy San Fran. It's just not progressive of a man of your stature in the progressive community. Don't cheapen the product, hoss.
We stand firm. Upright. With dignity. And frontal conviction. Or we fall limp like the pubs.
