Laura may have been 'the bride' back in the day, but is now treated like the distant cousin that "had" to be invited to the wedding and is put on bathroom detail as part of the 'house party'...
Saudi traditions notwithstanding, that's just rude - leaving her on the 'wimmin' side of the room while the "men" (gwb being the sole exception) do their manly talk and hand holding...! Let her go somewhere else to spend her day at the women's mall shopping for a souvenir abaya and some garish Versace to wear underneath it. (as I have seen some of the UAE/SA women wear when I volunteered at the hospital and the men were out of the room)

Those chairs look like they could have come out of my grandparents' basement 50 years ago.
Ditto Pickles.
