I've been pondering, yes I said pondering, what it is about Obama that grips me. It isn't his hopeful speeches (although those are nice)but it is that whenever you see him, whatever he is doing, he is dignified. He has personal dignity. I believe that is why so many people are falling into the elitist trap that the media is setting. As a country our dignity has fallen so far, people willingly making fools of themselves on tv, shouting matches instead of debates, name calling instead of intelligent conversation. We can't recognize dignity anymore.
He carries himself well and refuses to wrestle in the gutter with the rest of them. If he is elected President it will be such a relief after the last 8 years of bozo the clown in the white house. No, scratch that, Bozo had more dignity than Bush could muster in his little finger.

While the moniker "moistend bink" sounds undignified ( not meaning to be an insult, friend), said friend has truly hit the nail on the head.
Yes, our country has no sense of dignity. It is evidenced by the so-called reality shows, and that awful series -- Jack Ass or something? -- where people did unbelieveably stupid stunts just to be on TV, there are monetary rewards to be had to make a fool of one's self, just to name a few.
I guess I was born too soon, or else I would be rich because as a teenager I did really stupid stuff, but back in the '60's no one was willing to pay me for being a jerk.
Now it pays.
Back then I felt shame for my immature and irresponsible actions. No reward except for acts of redemption and atonement, and those rewards were not monetary. It was about being able to look in the mirror again the next morning. If you get my drift.
Now it's about money. Bad behavior gets rewarded. So where is this going to lead our society? Just asking.

OK, I have to ask.
WTF is going on in the pictures? It's hard to tell if it's a tryout for the movie, "Village People: The Round and the Furry", or if GeeDub has had a few too many.

Tryouts for the Secret Service analyze each candidate's strength, stamina, and desire to give that extra inch . . .

I am so baffled by this series of pictures. I think I am actually embarrassed for him.
Posted by: zoe | May 29, 2008 at 10:40 AM
The whole fucking nation is embarrassed, with the exception, of course, of the Preznitwit and his faithful 28 per cent of subhumanity. Why doesn't he just rub ning-nongs with that guy instead? You KNOW that's what he wants to do. Jeezus, what a fucking jerk.

See, this is what gay marriage leads to. Republicans go crazy for man-love.

Remember when this guy's election supposedly meant the adults were back in charge in Washington?

Buffoon, buffoon, buffoon. When did the Presidency become a Benny Hill episode? Oh, wait...Benny Hill chased girls. Is he a cartoon character? The rest of the world is saying WTF with us, I hope.

That's how I feel about the last eight years.
