My polling station at 10:00 a.m. And this was just 1/3 of the line.

I've just got back from my polling station, which is in a very Republican part of rural MD. I was the only voter there, and the whole process took me 90 seconds. I guess my neighbors just aren't feeling the Macmentum.

I just voted! No lines, but it is Laramie, Wyoming, so, you know...not a lot of people.
I took my time marking that oval for Obama/Biden. My electoral vote won't count for much, but I can sure help with the popular vote. Plus, I voted for every other Democrat I could find.

I too voted at the L.B.G.T. Center, which I can see from my apartment - sadly, the building you photographed is due to be razed and replaced by a tower of like 30 stories.
Good Bye Village

I did my part.
I had it a lot easier than most - small town - no waiting
The clerk gave me a little I voted today sticker.
I may send to Obama & see if I can get it signed....
Or maybe I will just send it to Karl Rove and tell him where he can stick it........

I hope some of these places had the forethought to rent porta-potties.

Guys, Starbucks is giving a free coffee to everyone who votes today, I saw it on CBC news. Those stickers might come in handy.

Ventura, CA population a little over 100,000. We are kind of just beyond the Greater Los Angeles sphere....and just a wee shy of Santa Barbara. As such, we are known as "Bakersfield by the Sea". Oil, Agriculture, Military. Pretty Red.
Voted at 2:00pm. Walked right in, done in 5 minutes. We didn't get the national campaigns here in CA, in fact, my son has been in Nevada the last 5 weeks, at the Nevada Obama State office. Helping to coordinate all the Californians who drove across each weekend to work Nevada. I'll be shocked if Nevada doesn't go to Obama, there's been a massive ground effort there.
Not too much excitement in CA, although we do have a couple nasty Propositions up....4 and 8.

you're right on both counts. The building is a part of St Vincent's, and the LGBT center next door is a cool place to vote. Something like 7 or 8 precincts vote there and depending on which precinct you're in - they tell you to join the line to the right of the front desk, or to its left. The front desk is where they have baskets full of free condoms.
