Once again, it's all political, not his fault and all the mistakes were pretty much in the form of the wrong backdrops for photo ops. But he did manage to find some moments of levity in between the deaths of those serving in Iraq. God I hate that useless meat puppet.

Just the sight of that brainless yamsack makes me physically ill. Truly, one of the many things I'm grateful for with the Obama victory is that I won't have to look at this revolting phiz ever again.

and never once did he say sorry for giving the press corp that horrid throat infection...poor Laura, imagine what it's like for her.

"poor Laura, imagine what it's like for her."
Don't worry about her. She has her vodka, xanax, and cigs. Now that she will be out of the lime light, she can indulge at will.

I didn't hear the presser, but I heard a few snippets on CBS radio while driving between work stops. I heard that the reporters asked if he had any regrets/thought he should have handled some things differently. I was quite struck that his answer was that (paraphrasing here) he'd "thought a lot about Katrina, and what he could've done better, and maybe he should have landed Air Force One" (instead of just flying over the destruction, as seen in that famous photo).
I thought that was the perfect capper description of this man and his legacy. His only regret, years after allowing thousands of people die and millions continue to suffer due to his inaction, is that he should have handled the PR better. He should have landed the plane after the disaster and did his precious photo ops, with the generators making lights & cameras work, and the sweet pictures of him hugging little starving black girls, happen earlier in the disaster.
He had no regrets about preventing the disaster.
No regrets about how he and his officials handled the disaster while it was in progress.
Only regret is that he could've capitalized on the PR better, so he would have appeared to care.
That is the perfect summary of the priorities of President George W. Bush.

So much pain, death, and destruction could have been avoided, if only that pretzel had won that fight it had with him. It would have been so fitting for him to go that way, choking to death on a pretzel.
This poor excuse for a human being has profited greatly from each and every failures he's had. Good work if you can get it.

Pretzelshits to the American Press Corps for their complete lack of spine in not throwing every fucking available article of clothing and furniture and I-Pods and any goddamn thing they could find and grab at this sonofabitch for the last 8 years, and today in particular.
I hope Helen Thomas smothers helpless him in his dreams every night . . . . . .
