Executive Order not up on the whitehouse.gov site yet, but this is the gist of it:
Executive Order revokes Executive Order 13440 that interpreted Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions. It requires that all interrogations of detainees in armed conflict, by any government agency, follow the Army Field Manual interrogation guidelines. The Order also prohibits reliance on any Department of Justice or other legal advice concerning interrogation that was issued between September 11, 2001 and January 20, 2009.

Dang, I am amazed at how quickly and carefully they are dismantling the Bush domestic and foreign policy system.
It's been just two days since the inauguration, and already we see dramatic progress. And no brush clearing. And it doesn't look like President Obama has a vacation scheduled anytime soon.
It's a really wonderful and hopeful time. We are finally getting back to what America is all about.
I hope Holder gets confirmed very soon. He has a lot of work piling up.

Some wag suggested that Obama pardon most of the Bush Administration after carefully documenting their many crimes. Others can take criminal action against them in international arenas with the evidence, but "we can move forward," save our system the trouble and deliberately stamp them as criminals without even having to give them a day in court.
As much as I like the idea of seeing them in chains tomorrow morning, this idea gives them no where to go and no way to get that taint off themselves.
