Cheney is still regarded as a Very Serious Person, and thanks to his apparent total and utter lack of conscience and near-absolute contempt for the truth he does fear-mongering well - so they're always going to trot him out. If you bitch about it the wingturds will say, 'Well, they still give Al Gore interviews. Nyah, nyah.'
You don't see too many interviews with Quayle, though, because he's regarded as a nincompoop. For this same reason, we probably won't see very many interviews with Dubya on any topics of substance, so at least we've got that going for us.
