(CNN) -- Sen. John McCain said Monday that President Obama and Democrats will have to "seriously negotiate" with Republicans if they want to pass a stimulus plan with bipartisan support.
"I think we are clearly prepared to sit down, discuss, negotiate a true stimulus package that will create jobs," McCain said on CNN's "American Morning."
How many goddamned times does Lucy have to pull the fucking football away before the Democrats wise up and say "no way"? It's pretty clear so far that the Republicans have, never had, and never will have any intention of "negotiating in good faith". The Democrats have the fucking majority in both houses and the Republicans are STILL calling the shots? WTF?!!

Yeah, fuck this "reach across the aisle" bullshit. The only time a Dem should reach across the aisle is to give the one finger salute to these corrupt, pieces of shit losers.

Hey, Mav, if we wanted to listen to the sheer babblings from your padded cell, we would have elected you.
We didn't, so feel free to STFU at your earlier possible convenience.
You're irrelevant. Get used to it.

Shrub barely squeaked by stealing the 2004 election, and yet he claimed he had earned 'capital' and was going to 'spend' it.
By that standard, a Republican should get bitch-slapped any time he clears his throat.

when it comes to spending, the senators pay heed to their corporate masters over their party monikers every time. for example, in washington we have patty murray (d-boeing/aerospace & defense) and maria cantwell (d-real networks/high tech industries).

And the White House. And the dude drawing the line in the sand got his ass soundly whipped at the polls last November.

When the Titanic was torn open by the iceberg, some people headed for lifeboats in the confusion of cold and dark while some kept waltzing and boozing under glittering chandeliers. Not everybody who struggled to reach a lifeboat survived. But those who continued to party were sucked down to the bottom.
The Republicans don't know how to swim. They can't find the Pole Star with a compass and map. And they won't jump without a golden parachute and hard shove from the rear. So why ought we to look to them for guidance or survival?
They continue to party. Heedlessly. Certain that the bubble machine will keep them afloat.
It might be confusing out here in the dark, with people pointing different directions and weather coming down hard, but we have a chance. Some of us will survive. And if the Republicans don't want to come with us, we have no choice but to leave them to sink under their the own hubris.

And if that hubris isn't quite heavy enough we made need some volunteers to help hold them under.

Maybe McCain is trying out for the lead in "Die Hardest?"

As our President (yes *sniff*) said in his speech, these folks don't realize the earth has shifted beneath them. No they surely don't. Because they have been so entitled and sucked up to for so long.
I think Obama is playing them with all the 'let's get along' stuff. He can prove he tried and they wouldn't play, so they are being the obstructionists. Now the Dems can say "why do Republicans hate the American middle class. Why don't they want to help Americans?"

let them dig deeper. the less of them in 2010 will be really nice.

I hate McCain's "I'm so darn reasonable" voice.
