Thought you were in Vegas. I was going to tell you to drop by and see if my mother had my birthday money. :-)

Watched the Macy's special on TV, pretty spectacular. Also.

We had fog (big surprise!) but it was high enough that we could see the bottom half of all the fireworks from Alamo Square Park. It was weird seeing the fireworks bloom downwards from the fog. And it was a double show, with twinned explosions over the bay. But only the lower half!

Heard on the news this morning that one of the fireworks barges caught fire! Luckily no harm was done. Don't think that ever happened to the Macy*s display before.

The fireworks on the Hudson were pretty spectacular, no? I watched them from a friend's place in Jersey--unobstructed view of all six displays.

Yeah the view from Jersey was great. I hope they keep them in the Hudson in the future.
