I am assuming that at least you have a usable, slightly functional transit service in your city.
In the largest city in New Hampshire, people still don't ride the bus, because no one needs to go to only three places that have no real destination (the park, the transit station, the college, the park, the transit station, the college, the hospital, the park, the college, some random fucking corner).
And since the buses don't service anything worth riding to, its just proof, they say, that buses are a stupid idea and poor folks can spend what's left of their welfare/disability/walmart check on the taxi ride to and from the grocery store/doctor's office/laundrymat.
Too fucking bad because the buses don't go anywhere useful and who needed the buses anyways when you got the cabbies? And what's all this whining?
Go walk and fuck yourself. The city fathers got their mercedes. Rides nice. If you worked harder too, youda had a nice Mercedes wouldn't you have?
...and maybe if your mama or daddy had money to send you to school or leave for you when they croaked, you'da be driving a mercedes.
All your fault. Shadup and pay the damn cabbie you government mooch.

We don't leave Brooklyn on the weekends anymore, unless it's in a car to get out of the city altogether.
Try to get to Manhattan on the subway on a Saturday or Sunday? I'd rather plunge long sharp steel needles in my eyes.*

After Hours - the ultimate 80's NYC film!
I agree with pansypoo - it's just a shame that those who run the MTA are such assholes.
