Notable petrochemical swamp-beast theocrat Michele Bachmann tells us that we need to drill responsibly wherever it is that God put oil, even if it is in the Everglades.
Tuesday, a CBS reporter in Miami confronted Bachmann about her call for drilling, asking, “Why would you invade that natural resource with gas and oil drilling?” Bachmann responded, “Let’s access this wonderful treasure trove of energy that God has given us in this country. Let’s access it responsibly.”
Except that there really isn't any there, according to USF Geologist Dr. Albert Hine:
"There is no known evidence that there is a significant hydrocarbon deposit beneath the Everglades."
Riddle me that, Bachmann! Well, Bachmann-the-Nut being a close, personal friend of The Almighty and whom gets messages from Providence via hurricanes and earthquakes replied:
“The radical environmentalists put up one road block after another to prevent accessing American energy.”
She then adjusted her tin foil hat and hid behind a potted plant.

How can Bachmann hide behind a potted plant? She is a potted plant.

TG, a correction: Wally Gator was a Hanna-Barbera product of the SIXTIES. Trust me on this. I turned 51 this month. I watched it, and other such HB slush, as a kid.

There's plenty of oil in Michelle Bachmann. Maybe they should dril her.

Not to pick nits, but WTF is a USF Geologist? The USGS is the United States Geological Survey. USFS, the Forest Service, hires geologists occasionally. USF...never heard of it. As far as the oil potential in the Everglades goes, there is obviously some based on the rocks regardless of whether it's proven or not. A rational person would not advocate drilling there, but the potential exists.

Um, Ming - are you deliberately ignorant or were you born that way? USF = University of South Florida
Damn, srsly?

Born ignorant for sure. University of South Florida... Is that one of those schools where you can major in auto mechanics and pick up a minor in geology? What an exceedingly stupid thing for a PhD. geologist to say. Srsly.
