Who's the guy on the statue?

I've yet to see a stone rendition of MLK that doesn't make him look like a steroid-laden superhero. Or in this case, frozen in Carboniteā¢.

I don't know if it's too soon, because I don't get it.

I'm confused by the pose they chose, which looks more "Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" than "I have a dream."
So, to sum up, not too soon in my book.

"Too soon?" = "Too lazy."

This Chinese statue of Dr. King looks nothing like him....who was responsible for this?
And I agree.....looks like a frozen in Carbonite⢠slab.

That is a statue of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? I thought it was a badly done Jack Benny. My bad.

Nicely done, twolf! Now we need an image of Boba Fett pushing the stone MLK along, with the stone floating in the air, as at the end of ESB when he's taking Han down the corridor to his ship.

Just what we need, a revival of Socialist Realism in art. It didn't work then and hasn't gotten any better.

And it certainly doesn't work with Chinese slave labor.
Instead of outsourcing the carving to China, they brought the men here... and DIDN'T PAY THEM.
