News you can use all day
Falafel Bill forgets to add that some of his best friends are Asian.
- Court Schedule - Idaho's Senator Mike Crapo (R-Holier Than Thou) to be arraigned on his drunk driving charges today. Will he plead the fifth on the fourth or have one? No one knows! (TPM)
- For the 33rd time the GOP introduces legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act (thanks to One-L, and remember the pop culture definition of insane?) so naturally strangely orange-hued Speaker of the House John Boehner is talking about how no one has jobs and the debt is to damn high. (Live Wire)
- Rhode Island introduces bills to allow Marriage Equality in that state. 42 of 75 House members had signed on as cosponsors, while 11 of 38 Senate members had signed on as of 4:50 p.m. (Providence Journal)
- Meanwhile, a "GOP source told The Huffington Post that, during a closed-door meeting of the House Republican Conference, lawmakers gave a green light to including language in the 113th Congress rules package that authorizes the House legal team, known as the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (BLAG), to keep paying outside counsel to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in court. The proposed House rules package also states that BLAG continues to "speak for" the House in its defense of DOMA." (HuffPo)

I think this House Rule means they don't need to continue to appropriate additional Bigot Dollars for their losing defense of DOMA. The BLAG lawyers can just run up the tab now.
