Why shouldn't it end well? I was always taught that when your opponent is intent on hanging himself you don't talk him down, you sell him rope. If the DSCC just gave money to Tea Party primary challengers instead of fake-Dems like Manchin or Nelson, they'd probably have done even better last cycle, IMO...
